Re: bruising after SCT harvest
I bruise easily. I did go through the harvesting and a transplant. However, my oncologist said it has to do with what the heavy doses of Dex (almost everyone's least favorite drug) has done to my skin. It does not take more that a moderate bumb that one would not even take notice of for me to develop a bruise. They last longer than BC (Before Cancer) but do eventually fade without any special care. You may want to check Dex/or other steroids as a possible cause if they have been part of your treatment. In any event, I hope all goes well.

Thanks.
I suspect the bruises are because of dad's low platelets. Counts are really low now after the harvest. I hope they go up soon.
