Thank you, both! i've tried to c ntact him for latest update - but that guy is simply trying to live life as best as he can. here are the details - and zometa should start soon: he had radiation and dex is over with - and past that he had this pain. i do hope that things are better now. below mail is from 25oct, so outdated. for me the tricky part right now is - how to keep him awake to the disease which is part of his and his family's life as i see him lock up now that things seem to improve? i have a feeling that i can't do anything than simply witness.
"I take dextamethesone 4 mg. prior to radiation 2 days 10 and then continued with 4 per day to end down to now 1 per day. This is a steroid. In the beginning it was supposed to reduce the tumor size. Then it was administered by the radiation doc ) instead of previous oncologist ) to Help reduce the swelling and inflammation of the radiation.
For pain I have oxycodone (which I take as little as possible). That's the strongest here right now.
In the morning I take tramadol slow release 100 mg. this is a little too little and I might just take 2 and double up. Otherwise I have hydrocodone which is a little less then oxycodone but does not have the side effects.
and diazepam."
i guess my post is not a question any more which is why i haven't come back any earlier. however input welcome. all my best to you all!
