Hello,
I was wondering if there is any known link between Botox and multiple myeloma. Is there any evidence that undergoing treatment with Botox can be a causative factor in the development of multiple myeloma?
I ask, because even though I had MGUS prior to ever having Botox, once I had Botox, I felt ill and my disease seemingly progressed. It could be coincidence, but the shot in my glabella was painful – they had penetrated the bone in error – and I was left with a noticeable bump and a headache for six months.
The only multiple myeloma lesions I have are in my skull, and the largest one is in my frontal bone right where the bad Botox was injected.
Is anyone aware of any evidence linking Botox and malignancy, in particular multiple myeloma?
