My husband just had the bone marrow biopsy yesterday. His blood pressure was 90/53. He looked terrible (that's his usual blood pressure lately). Of course, his doctors had him on diltiazem (Cardizem) for heart rhythm issues, which dropped his blood pressure as well. I screamed bloody murder and they removed the drug from him. This morning, his blood pressure was 130/80 and he felt better.
BUT, since the symptoms of his oddball protein appeared (in June, with neuropathy in July), he has had several bleeds in the white area of his eyes. Eye doctors didn't care. But something is causing this. He had them when his blood pressure was in the basement, too.
Is this something that anyone else has experienced?
We know he probably has MGUS at least, but we don't know anything else. Just a monoclonal protein band in the beta region and some other oddball things.

Re: Bleeding in the white area of the eye
Is he taking blood thinners or aspirin? If so, this can cause these hemorrhages (called subconjunctival hemorrhages). They can also be caused by doing something strenuous like coughing, sneezing, lifting heavy things, etc. Is he bleeding elsewhere (i.e., the roof of his mouth, in his urine)?

Re: Bleeding in the white area of the eye
Hi again,
No other bleeds. This just started in January. I have read that those with myeloma have thicker blood than normal people, so I would think that bleeding would not be an issue. Of course we do not know what's wrong with my husband yet, other than lambda light chains in his urine only. There are so many weird symptoms of even things like MGUS.
