Does anyone know what test you request to learn your BCMA levels?

The researchers wrote:
"...serum (diluted 1:50) from multiple myeloma patients were incubated using a murine monoclonal anti-human BCMA Ab...The samples were then assayed according to the BCMA ELISA [Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay] protocol."

Thanks for the response.

The researchers used a blood sample is this only a research technique and there is not a test available that would allow patients to determine their BCMA levels?

.I am wondering if multiple myeloma patients can simply order BCMA testing from a blood sample and/or if there is a specific name for this blood test screening?

Dr. Berenson, lead investigator of the study, said the testing is only available through specific clinical trials.
