BBCode

by Eddie on Fri May 15, 2015 12:41 pm

Hello,

I am a relatively new user of the website, and am trying to create my first post.
I have noticed that while my Control Panel indicates "Enable BBCode by default:" as Yes, my new post window says "BBCode is OFF" and the Preview does not process BBCodes.

Is there anything else I need to do to enable BBCode?

Thanks,
Eddie

Hi Eddie,

You can use BBCode in postings, but they will not take effect until a posting has been moderated. This generally will happen soon after you make a posting, but there will be a period of time where the BBCodes are displayed unprocessed.

After initially having the BBCode menu available along top the box where postings are entered, we found that it was too confusing for most forum members, so it was turned off (along with initial processing of the BBCodes).

Thanks for your question.
