Assistance paying for oncologist's visits, lab work, etc?

by Husker Fan on Thu Jul 12, 2012 6:45 pm

Does anyone know of an organization(s) that helps pay for out-of-pocket costs for oncologist's monthly visits, and bi-monthly lab work, along with bone marrow biopsies and bone scans? My husband is currently enrolled in a clinical study, and while they are paying for the Revlimid, the costs of labs, especially the monthly electrophoresis tests are rapidly consuming our retirement savings.

You might check the Chronic Disease Fund...ask the social worker or patient navigator at the Cancer Center - they should have that type of information and might help with the paperwork.

Hi,

I think the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has a fund to help with these costs.
