Is anyone on here from Ohio? I am looking for the best specialist, hospital, place to get stem cell transplant. Cleveland Clinic is definitely close enough ... enough Columbus. Any advice?
Thanks!

Re: Anyone from Ohio? Looking for doctor, hospital, etc.
I believe there is a cancer center at Ohio State University called the James Cancer Center. Several people on the Board have gone there. Best wishes.

Ohio State and the Cleveland Clinic are probably the two main places to consider in Ohio given that each has several staff members who focus on multiple myeloma. One of the Medical Advisors here in the forum, Dr. Valent, is from the Cleveland Clinic. One or two Beacon columnists, I believe, are Ohio State patients.
Also, the head of the blood cancer and stem cell transplant program at the University of Cincinnati is Dr. Elias Anaissie. He was at the University of Arkansas myeloma center for a long time before he went to Cincinnati a couple of years ago.
