Am I relapsing? What happens next?

by corinnastevenson on Thu Nov 21, 2013 10:30 pm

Hi,

I have kappa freelight myeloma. I was diagnosed in January 2010 at 39 years of age. I had an auto transplant with dexamethasone (only) induction in April 2010 and have been in complete remission since.

Last blood test my Kappas were at 33 and the ratio just above 3. This is the first time I have had high results. The feeling is I am relapsing.

What happens now?

Thanks.

Hello,

Have you discussed your results with your doctor? When are you due for the next PET/MRI and/or BM?

Best of luck with everything.

Thanks for your reply, Alex.

I spoke with my hematologist who ordered a 24 hour Benz protein collection which has been submitted. I'll have another freelight serum blood test in a couple of weeks.

I guess for now it's just at the wait and see stage?
