Last Tuesday after two weeks on Velcade, Revlimid, and dex, my ALT number increased from 28 the previous week to 68. My doctor seemed concerned and told me not to take any more Tylenol (I never took much anyway) because of the increased ALT labs.
I know the ALT number is associated with the liver function, but was wondering how concerned I should be with the ALT number at 68?
Thanks

Re: ALT Increased, how concerned should I be?
I have had consistently high ALT and AST levels, in excess of the level that you report. I went to a liver doctor and have had every conceivable test, including a liver biopsy. Nothing was found. Still, if yours remains elevated over an extended period of time, you may want to get a consult with an appropriate specialist.
Interestingly, the doctor actually recommended Tylenol (paracetamol, acetaminophen) over other pain relievers so long as I keep the dosage to no more than 2000 mg per day.
