I am very concerned about a diagnosis of Bence Jones myeloma or amyloidosis.
I was referred to a hem/onc because I had calcium level of 10.7 at primary care office. I also have bubbles and a small amount of blood in urine. The urinalysis did not detect proteins but the bubbles are unmistakenably there. Primary doctor said they could be Bence Jones proteins because they would not show on routine urinalysis. Hem/onc doctor ordered SPEP with reflex to IFE and serum free light chain assay.
As I described above, everything came back normal except alpha 1 globulins that were 7.2% and normal range is 2.9-4.9%. Free light kappa and lambda and ratio all in normal range. CBC and Metabolic Panel results were all normal including a calcium level of 9.7.
My kidney function has decreased in last year but still barely in normal range. I have easy bruising and of course the urine bubbles.
What is the chance I have Bence Jones myeloma or amyloidosis with normal free serum light chain assay being normal? Would the high alpha 1 be a marker for Bence Jones myeloma or amyloidosis?

Re: High alpha 1 globulin, normal serum FLC results
My serum free kappa light chains have been elevated every time they were checked since January 2013. The last urine tests for light chains was done in July 2013 and was abnormal at that time.
