Just wondering if there's anyone else out there diagnosed with atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS) along with multiple myeloma.
There is some debate among my physicians if the stem cell transplant could have been a contributing factor.

Re: aHUS and multiple myeloma
Yes. My husband was just diagnosed with aHUS two weeks ago. He has active high-risk multiple myeloma; he was diagnosed in December 2016. He's been treated with Kyprolis (carfilzomib) for a few months with very positive effects. Then he had a stem cell transplant and everything went well and he was feeling quite good. He started back up the Kyprolis in October, and he just progressively started feeling terrible. After his infusion in January, 2018 he had a terrible reaction, high fever, rash, then the diarrhea started. The aHUS was full blown by day 5 after the infusion.
We were attributing it to the Kyprolis, but it is possible it's the stem cell transplant. No definitive answers.
