Anyone against transplants (or agree with postponing them)?

Has anyone had a BAD experience or known someone that has regretted getting a stem cell transplant? Or wishes they would have postponed their transplant?

Thanks.

You can find threads of folks on this forum for which the transplant failed to yield any lasting results and they were back to where they started shortly after the transplant (early relapse). You can also find George's comments here:

You can also find a fair number of folks that have opted to delay their transplant and to instead treat it as a salvage therapy (or never consider it, period). Some cases for opting for the salvage approach can be found here:

We are approaching that juncture soon, and right now leaning towards postponing.
