Has anybody tried this? My father was just diagnosed as multiple myeloma at age of 69. He is under chemo right now. Since he has chromosome abnormalities from both cytogenetics and FISH, his doctor told me that he may not response well to chemo. So I am just wondering if I should try Adoptive Cellular Immunotherapy. Where should I look into? MD Anderson?
Any input would be highly appreciated.

If you are interested in Adoptive Cellular Immunotherapy for multiple myeloma, suggest you look into the Abramson Cancer Center at Penn. They are also conducting trials.

Having certain high risk cytogenetics doesn't necessarily mean that "chemo" won't work in general, but certain genetic abnormalities might have implications for some specific chemo agents. If you aren't working with a multiple myeloma specialist that is well versed in all the latest drugs and/or trials that are out on the market,, I suggest you hook up with one.
