Feet ache easily - is it due to peripheral neuropathy?

I developed really bad neuropathy in my feet. It was so bad that I lost complete feeling in both feet. What started out as the typical tingling ended up with virtually no sense of hot or cold at all. However, after reducing my dosage and eventually being able to stop the Velcade altogether, the neuropathy disappeared. That was in 2011 and 2012. I had an ASCT in June of 2012.

Since then, I have had another problem. After being on my feet for just a few hours, they absolutely ache. it's like the sensation of normal aching feet at the end of a hard day of work but it's more intense for a lot less exertion.

My question is, could this be another manifestation of the original neuropathy? Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

This is an excellent point. It is possible that the sensation that you have is residual effect of previous neuropathy. I have many patients that say exactly what you referred to, particularly at the end of a day.

I am not sure if I have neuropathy or not. My feet hurt a lot. Not from any tingling or numbness. They hurt in the toe joints. After walking a while, the pain subsides and I just have normal foot ache. It feels good to get off of them, but when I stand, walk, or stretch them after the rest, it's really painful. I have this pain everyday, although there was a period of time it went away.

I had CyBorD treatment and I had this then. When doing my stem cell transplant, it was gone. I started Velcade for maintenance and it's back.

I've been blaming my being very overweight, but now I wonder. I just didn't think it would feel like this.
