My sister's WBC count remains low (2.3) after coming just up to 2.7 following a Neupogen infusion. Her doctors are in disagreement. One says that she just have to start her second round of Revlimid maintenance because of her very aggressive multiple myeloma. The other is against it and insists on waiting for the WBC to come up. Not much assistance is offered, except waiting and eating a good diet.
My sister is keen to have her maintenance. She was due to start her second round around the 8th of February. She is still without maintenance. This is not good for her myeloma.
What is the lowest WBC that would allow to continue with Revlimid?
The doctor does not want to switch to Velcade, because she believes Revlimid would be more effective.
