Hello,
IgG levels are 17. I'm trying to establish that if this particular thing is raised, which it is, and has been for a few months now, if it could point toward myeloma, and not for example a normal virus or bug?
Just had yet another blood test to check yet again if it is still raised, Symptoms I have is fatigued, proper.
Don't think I'm even on the right site, but all I've googled seems to point to this illness.

Re: Above normal IgG level - does it mean myeloma?
Good morning, memikee.
What you need is the test called serum protein electrophoresis (SPEP). That test measures the "M-spike," which is the bad protein generated by multiple myeloma. I understand that there are several conditions that could impact the immunoglobulins, so the SPEP test is much more definitive with respect to myeloma. The M-spike should be zero, but if it's positive and low (lower than 1), it could possibly be only MGUS.
Good luck

Thank you, JPC. I've just had an hb electrophoresis to see if it's still raised. I get those results in a few days. Maybe they'll give me an SPEP if my IgG is still raised?
Thank you for your time in replying.
