
I'm 55 and I live in New Zealand where there are only around 300 cases of myeloma on a yearly basis. Reading around the Myeloma Beacon has provided me with a much wider view. Reading around i find the whole number-thing hard to figure out, maybe the measure in NZ is different to US

I have a lot of doubt around the SCT. I'm more interested in quality of life than quantity and the recovery time/risk/effects of SCT have me questioning if SCT is the answer for me.
At diagnosis in September 2013 my first hospital report said:
quite advanced Lambda type multiple myeloma

Now, after 6 cycles of Velcade/dex/cyclophophamide:
IgG 15.9
lambda 198.8
renal normal
