52 days Post SCBMT question

by ninja performance on Tue Oct 23, 2012 1:20 pm

52 days Post SCBMT question. My numbers (without using neupagen) were good enough 2 weeks post I was released to go home. And while there have been bounces here and there, the last 2 weeks weekly CBC tests ALL my numbers have gone down. While not horrible, I would think 52 days post transplant they would have stabilized at the very least, or continue to improve. I am not on any chemo. Just Valtrex and Antibiotic.

Drop from last week to this week
HGB dropped 12.4 to 12.0
WBC dropped 4.7 to 3.1
RBC dropped 3.64 to 3.41
HCT dropped 37.8 to 36.6
Platelets dropped 165 to 147
Absolute Neutrophils dropped 2560 to 1650

And these these past two weeks CBC tests have all been lower than the test 3 weeks ago. So it's been trending down since 3 weeks ago.

Should I be worried?

I feel pretty good especially being only 52 days out. I do run out of energy if I do too much, but that's normal. Overall, not too bad.

Thanks
Chris

Ok, My transplant oncologist/hematologist said no worries, my numbers would be bouncing around for a good while.

I just get so wrapped up with every test. I need to take it easy for a bit.

Hi Chris!

Congratulations on weathering you SCT so well!

My understanding is that by day 100 your numbers should settle down a bit -- but even saying this, it can take longer. EJ's m-spike did't settle down until the 4-5 month mark.
