Blood, Stem Cells, And Cancers Of The Blood ― February 7 marks the next lecture in the seventh annual Charles B. Huggins Lecture Series, "Blood, Stem Cells and Cancers of the Blood." This week’s lecture, entitled “Genetic and Epigenetic Alterations in Blood Cells,” takes place from 11 a.m. to noon at The University of Chicago. Over the course of the eight-week series, Ph.D. candidate Wei Xu will give an overview of how and where components of the blood form. 2009 Snowball Softball Mike Kmetz Memorial Tournament ― Men's and co-ed softball teams from across the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut area will compete on February 7 in a single elimination softball tournament. The event will feature all-day food, beverages, prizes, and a raffle, with all proceeds benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). The tournament will take place at Louis M.
