Milestones In Myeloma Therapy: An Update From The American Society Of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting – This free teleconference will be held on February 3 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST. The discussion, led by Robert Z. Orlowski, MD, PhD, will focus on new treatments and research presented at the ASH annual meeting. Portland Fundraising Clinic – This clinic, presented by the LLS, will take place on February 3 at the Regence BCBS in the Three Sisters Conference Room in Portland. It begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. A brief presentation will focus on fundraising pointers. An Evening With Colt Brennan – The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Hawaii is hosting this benefit fundraiser on February 3 in Honolulu. Colt Brennan, a former Warrior quarterback, will give the opening speech at 6 p.m. Former University of Hawaii (UH) receiver Davone Bess and current UH coach Greg McMackin will also be in attendance. The event will last until 9 p.m. and will include a silent auction, live auction, and other entertainment. All proceeds benefit the LLS. Milestones In Myeloma Therapy – This free program for patients and caregivers will be presented by LLS on February 4 at the Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center in Avon, CT. Registration and a complimentary dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the program will run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The program will include an overview of myeloma, a look at the latest drug therapies, and processes to manage myeloma and the side effects associated with treatment.
