Julia Walls Kiefer Marrow Donor Project – The Kiwanis Club of Winston-Salem, NC, is hosting a drive to find potential bone-marrow donors for myeloma patient Julia Kiefer and others who are in need of a transplant. The drive will be held on January 17, 2009, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at College Park Baptist Church. The cheek swab test that determines whether a person is a potential donor costs $52, but funds are available to help anyone who cannot afford the test.
