Thanks Dr. Voorhees!!

Yes, the FGFR not being a translocation distinction was very important.
The twists and turns of multiple myeloma can be complex, especially the cytogenetics.
I appreciate you sharing your clinical experience and knowledge.
I find it very helpful and it certainly increases my understanding of the disease.

i am also glad you are an Eastwood fan as well, :D

Thank you all for your input, especially Dr. Voorhees who made me feel a lot better than I was feeling prior to reading his post.

Presently we are preparing to head to Arizona for a few winter months and I have had all my records sent to an oncologist there. I am struggling with having to leave my Colorado oncology team, who I like and trust, and start to entrust my care to an oncologist in Arizona, however, my best friend in Arizona is a blood cancer survivor and he recommends the oncologist I will see.

I expect I will get a bone marrow biopsy in January to check the FGFR3 as well as other indicators. I just don't yet know if I will stay in Arizona for that or come back to Colorado for a couple of weeks. We'll see.

If any other reader has additional information I would appreciate anything I could learn about upward trending FGFR3.
