I am just finishing up my consolidation treatment – 2 cycles of 2 weeks on, one week off Revlimid, Velcade, and dex (RVD) – after my June 2015 stem cell transplant (SCT) and I am now looking ahead to maintenance, which I believe is going to be every other week Velcade and also Revlimid (unsure of dosing). I'll know more after my visit with my specialist at Dana Farber on the 29th.
I find myself now wondering / worrying about side effects from the maintenance therapy. I previously tolerated the RVD pretty well. But with these last two cycles I've found that the neuropathy in my feet has worsened and I've had some trouble with my ANC and WBC and have had to step off the dose of Revlimid.
So what should I expect? What have others experienced?
Thanks as always for your input and advice.

Re: Velcade & Revlimid maintenance therapy - side effects?
Finished my first 6 weeks of treatment. As most patients, the steroids make sleep difficult, you feel nervous, agitated, and you eat too much. Revlimid gives me a cough, dry mouth , swelling of feet, legs, no energy, and a listless feeling. Very nervous stomach, but the worst is a very nasty rash.
I get Velcade shot on Thursdays and as of yet, no side effects.
Good luck with your treatments and this forum is a great place to talk to other people who are going thru the same treatments and have good information.

Another side effect ... shingles. Doctor caught it early today and started pills with cream. Staying optimistic, but at times seems it is a kill or cure due to side effects.
