Please post ur experience... Was it worst , better or exactly what expected? Was it worth going through it? What made you go with it if u had the option of staying on drugs and do it later.
Please share ur knowledge.
Thank u.

Hi Nadia33,

Just in case you haven't seen it already, I wanted to point out this recent forum thread that I think has a lot of responses that may help answer your question.

https://myelomabeacon.org/forum/stem-cell-transplant-and-ability-to-do-light-work-t464.html

There is at least one posting in the thread that links to other threads that also have related information. Also, that posting points to this article,

https://myelomabeacon.org/news/2011/06/15/transplantation-versus-novel-agents-for-myeloma-study-supports-transplantation-eha-2011/

and, particularly, the comments to it. I think you'll find them interesting and helpful as well.

I don't want this reply to discourage other responses. I hope you get some. But the links above should also be of help.

Good luck!

- Boris.

Hello, Nadia-

You might wish to read of our experiences with multiple myeloma over the past 3 years. As our general practitioner warned us, "ants showed up at our picnic" ! There were PLENTY of ups and downs, but we were warned.

Dom is now 2 years post stem cell transplant and in complete remission/response. In fact he'll be "Two Years Old on Sunday".

Remember that knowledge is power. Boris has a WONDERFUL site here. Dig in and explore. Best of luck to you, honey-
