Navigating The Myeloma Beacon Forum
You may wish to begin by browsing or searching the forum for information that interests you.
To post your own question, click on the link to an appropriate forum from the board index and press the NEW TOPIC button. To post a reply to an existing conversation, press the POST REPLY button.
On subsequent visits to the forum, you may want to specifically browse recent comments. The Recent Activity widget on the right side of the board lists the 5 most recent comments, and among the links at the top of the board, there is one to view recent posts. If you are logged in as a registered user, unread posts can be conveniently read using the link across the top of the board, and unread posts will also be highlighted with a red icon as compared to read posts that have a blue icon.
Customizing Your Account
Within the User Control Panel, you can customize your settings, select a photo (avatar) for your account, add biographical information, create a signature for your posts, set up digest emails, read private messages from other members, and much more.
Posting a Question to the Forums
Before posting a question, please search the forums to see if the same question has already been answered. If you cannot find the answer to your question already on the forum, select the most appropriate forum, click on its title, and then click on the NEW TOPIC button.
If you are not sure which forum to post to, use the general Multiple Myeloma forum.
Also, please do not post the same or similar questions multiple times to the forums. Multiple postings of the same message may be confusing to forum visitors, and it is not fair to others who also have posted requests for help.
We have found over time that the forum members who are most likely to get assistance are those who have shown a willingness to help others in the forum, as opposed to simply posting when they have questions of their own. If you are looking for questions that you might be able to help answer, a good place to start is this list of unanswered postings.
