Re: No response to VCD (CyBorD) - what to do next?
My multiple myeloma returned after about 4 years after my SCT. Last spring over several months my M-spike increase significantly. My doctor was able to enroll me on a clinical trial with kyprolis which included doses of dexamethasone also. I was treated twice a week for three weeks and then had a week off. After 3 months my M-spike was zero and all my other levels were normal. There has been no indication of the multiple myeloma since then and I am completing my 12th round in the next couple of weeks and will be getting off the clinical trial. After that I will not be taking any meds and will have checkups every 3 months. The side effects from the kyprolis have been minimal. Good luck.
