Hello,
My father just completed his first round of dex/rev midway thru his cycle he experienced severe back/chest/rib pain that is comparable to what others have described in the thread entitled chest pain. My question is has anyone had any experience using cymbalta to treat both the discomfort and to benefit from its anti depressant properties ( which in my humble daughter opinion he might could benefit from the antidepressant effect at the moment) . Just wondering if it is contraindicated or if others have had any experience with this medication.
Thanks
Cynthia

Re: Use of Cymbalta for musculoskeletal pain?
I used cymbalta for the neuropathy i had in my feet. It worked. I used it for 4-5 months and am now off of it. My feet feel much better.

Thanks Derek- he has not had the neuropathy feet pain yet, but I appreciate you sharing that it worked for you in the event he does experience this. Have a great weekend.

Re: Use of Cymbalta for musculoskeletal pain?
Have you considered this might be heart burn?
Dex caused heartburn for me. And heartburn causes all sorts of pain that you wouldn't think would be related.
Have him take some Tums and see if that helps.
While in the hospital I knew I needed Tums but the dr heard me say chest pains and you'd have thought I yelled Fire.
