Curcumin side effects?
I was thinking of continuing curcumin. I was wondering if anyone heard of any side effects from that or not?
Re: Curcumin side effects?
I have heard of some people having an upset stomach when first starting out with the large doses (e.g. 8 grams or more) that some of us take on a daily basis. However, I have never personally had an issue with high doses of any of the formulations of curcumin, including C3 and theracurmin. To be on the safe side, you might want to build up to your target dose over 2-3 weeks.

Re: Curcumin side effects?
I have been taking 8 g/day with no side effects at all. For one week, I increased my dose a little bit each day to make sure I didn't have any allergies / reactions until I reached the 8 gram level.
I take 3 capsules in the morning before breakfast, 3 at lunchtime along with my calcium / vitamin D supplement, and 3 more sometime in the evening. The supplement that I use takes 9 capsules to reach 8 grams. It is organic and has added bioperine and ginger for bio availability. I have no idea if this is the best way to do it, but my free light chain ratio popped up over 100 in November and, after starting this, has been between 70 and 90. Since I'm smoldering, a free light chain ratio over 100 is significant, so I'll do anything to keep it at manageable levels. That's my only really worrisome marker.
I've heard that it causes heartburn in some people, so you may want to experiment with it. Taking it right before bed and then lying down might be an issue. Some have also mentioned sleep problems. I have none of the above.
I figure that it won't hurt and it might help, so why not?
