I am looking for some long-term remission stories after induction with cyclophosphamide, Velcade, and dexamethasone (CyBorD) and a stem cell transplant. Including maintenance meds, etc, that you have been on.
Thanks!

Re: Long-term remissions after CyBorD and SCT?
Hi dogmom,
When my mother was diagnosed in 2008, she had four cycles of CyBorD and one of Velcade only, followed by an autologous SCT in June 2008. She remained in a stringent Complete Response for over five years. At that time, maintenance therapy didn't seem to be that big of a thing, so she only had two years worth of either Zometa or Aredia (sorry, can't remember which one!) for bone strengthening purposes.
Mom had IgA kappa myeloma, and at the time of her diagnosis had del 13 and t 4;14.
Hope this helps!
