Beta 1, 3D Glucan - anyone taking it for myeloma?

by brandyjoco on Fri Jan 15, 2016 12:00 pm

I have been reading about things like green tea extract, zinc and copper (offset one another), curcumin, and beta 1, 3D glucan. Here is something I have found about beta 1, 3D glucan:
Glucan receptors in phagocytes appear to mediate a very important aspect of their function in vivo and in vitro. Glucan, both particulate and soluble, has been shown to exert profound beneficial effects on the ability of laboratory animals to cope with malignancy and immunosuppression, and to activate murine and human monocytes and macrophages for both intracellular and extracellular killing of bacteria, parasites and tumour cells (DiLuzio, 1985; B6gwald, Johnson & Seljelid,1982)

Reference:

R Goldman, "Induction of a beta-1,3-D-glucan receptor in P388D1 cells treated with retinoic acid or 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3," Immunology, Feb 1988 (abstract at Pubmed, full text PDF at Pubmed Central)

Transfer Point Beta 1 glucan 3d was tested for effectiveness and the reviews are good. I am very impressed with the studies on beta 1, 3D glucan and wonder if anyone else has researched this or using this?
