Came across a blog post this AM that mentioned using Metanx for neuropathy. Anyone here have any experience with that?
Further research indicates it's largely a B-complex vitamin supplement, and I have been doing B's already anyhow, so am wondering why Metanx is prescription...

Re: Metanx for neuropathy?
My husband takes Metanx twice a day for neuropathy. He has been taking it for several months and has seen no improvement. He wonders if it has at least prevented it from becoming worse--no way to tell. He has just been prescribed a machine to help with the neuropathy. It is called a ReBuilder. Perhaps that, along with the Metanx, will help. Have you used the ReBuilder? I have heard good things about it--it stimulates the nerves. As for why the Metanx is a prescription--I wonder that myself!

I've not previously heard of the ReBuilder, no, but visiting their website I have seen similar equipment at physio clinics. I know that going for a longish walk works to bring the neuropathy down a touch (which, I think, stimulates the nerves) so this probably will work too!
Thanks for the response.

Re: Metanx for neuropathy?
My husband tried it for a month for his neuropathy with no improvement, so he is no longer taking it. He does love "The World's Softest sock" from Footsmart. That has really helped with the pain. He also takes lyrica and a Fentynal patch.

Think I will check into those "world's softest socks" for my husband. Actually though, his fingers seem to bother him most.
