At UAMS, do the doctors advocate the use of Curcumin or Resveratrol as supplements, for anti-myeloma activity? There was some interesting information recently presented in the IMF teleconference in March, that seems to hold promise. Wondering what your viewpoints are...
Thanks!

Re: curcumin & resveratrol
There are some studies that have shown activity of curcumin/resveratrol, but it is too early to make it part of current treatment regimens. We have not been using curcumin/resveratrol at UAMS because with currently available regimens, we can get excellent results in the majority of patients with myeloma. There is, however, 15-20% of patients who have high risk disease, who tend to have rapid relapses, and this is the group most in need for new treatments. Curcumin and other newer drugs need to be tested in this group.
