Remission in myeloma can be of varying degree: Molecular, stringent complete, complete, very good partial, partial or minor response. It is certainly possible to achieve a certain level of remission early on. However, the duration of therapy planned at the time of diagnosis should not be shortened if remission has been achieved soon after starting therapy.
