Loss of vision from gvhd
My husband had serious grade 4 gvhd after allogenic transplant. It was of gut, skin & eyes. His corneas scratched to pieces. We are on day. 147 post transplant and he still has severe light sensitivity & no sight to speak of...20/200. Any suggestions or anyone else experienced this? Using restasis, dex drops & preservative free tears.

Re: Loss of vision from gvhd
Hi Myrnaclag,
I am so sorry to hear of your husbands GVHD and I hope you find something that will improve his condition. My chronic GVHD is slowly getter better (I am on cyclosporin, plaquenil and prednisolone), the emphasis is on slow. Has he been to see an opthalmologist, one that specializes in auto-immune diseases? Maybe they can suggest something.
All the best,
Libby
