I had tandem autologous stem cell transplants (SCT's) in 2011. So far so good.
Before the transplants, I went through a year and a half of everything but the kitchen sink and nothing worked very well. But the transplants not only dropped my bad numbers, but those numbers are staying down and it's been 3 years.
I wonder if a third ASCT would be an option for me when I do come out of "remission". Is that common?
Blue Shield has been a Godsend for me so far, I wonder if they'd cover that. Hmmmm ...
