Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM)

by Bar-none on Mon Jul 06, 2015 4:48 pm

Hi,

Is anyone aware of any medication or other conflicts with Revlimid and glucosamine chondroitin with methylsulfonylmethane (MSM)?

So far I am not seeing any, but will also be asking doc and pharmacy to be safe.

Thanks! BN

I don't know if there is an interaction between glucosamine with MSM and Revlimid, but I stopped taking it when I started with Revlimid. My oncologist recommended that I take curcumin (turmeric), which is an anti-inflammatory and may have anti-cancer properties. It has helped my arthritis pain almost as well as the glucosamine did.

Thanks Nancy, I've been taking curcumin also but it doesn't help the pain much. I did find a blurb about elevated glucose, but mine has been normal. The dex seemed to put it into a higher normal range, but now it's in the middle of normal since I've been off dex.

I have put it on my todo list to ask my doc and pharmacist. Will keep posting.

Best regards! BN
