Leaning towards Aredia due to kidney issues - make sense?

by hopeful27 on Thu Jun 26, 2014 4:13 pm

My mom still does not have a perfect creatinine level, so my mom hasn't started biophosphates yet. We are leaning towards Aredia [pamidronate] over Zometa [zoledronic acid]. Our doctor said that, even though it takes a lot longer to diffuse, that it might be easier on the kidneys.

Are we correct in our thinking? I know it seems that Aredia and Zometa are so similar ...
