My dad has been on Kyprolis for two weeks now (placed in his port on Thursday and Friday). He is experiencing bad bone pain in his ribs and back, very tired, and also a little confused / foggy. The confusion has us a little worried, because he is usually so with it.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Re: Kyprolis - confusion side effect?
I was on Kyprolis for two years as part of a CRD (Kyprolis, Revlimid, dexamethasone) trial.
Can't say I ever had an issue with replacing my cold bathwater when I was fixing the stove, but of course that's because I was pretty sure the car was out of gas and I also needed to change the litter box. It usually all took care of itself, though, and I was still able to get a round of golf in before I had to leave for my dentist appointment, provided my kid's graduation party could be delayed a week. Oh, I just remembered, I don't have a cat, so I don't have to change the litter box after all. What were we discussing?
Sorry, couldn't help injecting a bit of humor - hope you're not offended by the jest.
In all seriousness, some confusion with treatment is not uncommon – it's many times referred to as 'chemo brain'. Some have it worse than others. I didn't have it too bad – I generally found I had trouble remembering words or maintaining a sustained train of though for more then a few minutes before my mind wandered to other topics. It also wasn't constant. Others have had issues to where they've had to quit their jobs because of the lack of focus and the type of job they had. Do a search on chemo brain and you'll probably find quite a few examples.
I hope your father doesn't have too much trouble with it.
Kevin.

Re: Kyprolis - confusion side effect?
Took first series of Kypolis. Yes, I have rib pain, then broke out in shingles.
