Heavy eyelids during RVD treatment

by K_Shash on Thu Aug 06, 2015 6:58 am

Has anyone experienced or read an account about not being able to keep the eyes open, when not sleepy, during treatment with Revlimid, Velcade, and dexamethasone (RVD)?

My eyelids suddenly feel very heavy and need a conscious effort to keep my eyes open. This happens suddenly, in the early mornings, around noon or in the evening while just relaxing and watching TV or doing crossword. This lasts only about 15 - 20 minutes but has been happening 2 or 3 times a day. To the best of my recollection, this is a relatively new phenomenon that started about two months ago (see this forum thread for a record of my treatment with RVD, which started about 8 months ago after I was initially diagnosed with multiple myeloma).

It this a type of peripheral neuropathy? I would appreciate any and all input.

Mine is not as severe as your but after I take my Revlimid (around 5 PM) that night around 7-8 p.m. my eyes have a 'heavy - full' feeling. It lasts for a few hours, and then goes away by the next morning.
