ALT-803 for multiple myeloma
Has anyone read about ALT-803 immunotherapy ?

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your question.
There has been one preclinical study published about ALT-803 as a potential myeloma therapy. You can read about it here:
W Xu et al., "Efficacy and mechanism-of-action of a novel superagonist interleukin-15: interleukin-15 receptor αSu/Fc fusion complex in syngeneic murine models of multiple myeloma," Cancer Research, May 2013, 15;73(10):3075-86 (full text)
There are also two trials of the drug that are ongoing in patients with multiple myeloma. Here are some links:
"A Study of ALT-803 in Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Multiple Myeloma"
"IL-15 Super Agonist ALT-803 to Treat Relapse Of Hematologic Malignancy After Allogeneic SCT"
Both trials are being conducted in the United States at three locations, although the locations are slightly different between the two trials. Both trials are also Phase 1/2 trials.

Thank you for your infos, Beacon Staff.
I just wanted to have some opinions about ALT-803, whether it is really promising or not, and when it would be available if it worked.
I will not participate in any of the trials as, according to my hematologist, I have not relapsed yet (I have never reached CR, and my kappa has been rising for these last four months, from 42 to 66 mg/L).
I am afraid I am relapsing, and I was looking for good news...
